New Road — smaller housing applications
Two smaller housing schemes on New Road were refused on 24 April 2026. The council now records appeals lodged against both refusals.
Application 25/01015/OUT concerns two two-storey buildings containing four two-bedroom maisonettes on land behind 1–4 New Road.
Application 25/01016/OUT concerns six two-bedroom maisonettes and two two-storey houses on land at 3–12 New Road, with amenity space, parking and accesses.
Both applications were refused on 24 April 2026. Each council summary records an appeal lodged, with no appeal decision available when checked. The original refusals are therefore not the end of the planning process.
