Charlton Village Residents Association is run by local volunteers for the benefit of our community. Giving time and energy makes a great deal possible, but plants, materials, equipment and practical improvements also cost money. Voluntary membership payments give CVRA the funds to turn residents’ ideas into action and keep that work going throughout the year.
Your contribution helps support village planting, flower beds, planters, hanging baskets, trees and wildlife areas, alongside community activities and improvements to our shared surroundings. It also supports the association’s wider work: keeping residents informed, listening to local views and representing Charlton Village on planning, infrastructure, traffic and other matters that affect village life.
Everyone benefits from a village that is cared for. When more residents choose to contribute, the cost is shared more widely and we can do more together. Our South & South East in Bloom successes in 2025 and 2026 reflect the combined commitment of the committee, gardening volunteers, helpers, residents and supporters. Your membership helps sustain that care beyond the awards.
Membership support has grown from around 12% of residents when the current committee took office in 2023 to around 55% by October 2026. That is an encouraging sign of what we can achieve together, and we would love even more residents to be part of it.
