CVRA is powered by local people who care about the place we call home. Getting involved helps turn ideas into action, brings residents together and gives our community a stronger voice on the things that matter.
You do not need to make a big commitment to make a difference. A regular helping hand, an occasional contribution or simply coming along and sharing your views can all help. We welcome different experiences, abilities and perspectives, and would love to hear what you could bring to village life.
Join the CVRA committee
Help shape the work of Charlton Village Residents Association and represent the people who live here. Committee members bring residents’ ideas and concerns into discussions, help plan activities and improvements, and keep the association connected to our community.
You do not need to arrive with all the answers. Listening, working with others and caring about Charlton Village are valuable starting points. If you are interested, get in touch to discuss your skills, the time you can offer and how the committee works.
Come along to our events
Community events create opportunities to meet your neighbours, welcome new residents and enjoy time together close to home. Familiar faces become friendships, and a shared evening or activity can help people feel more connected to Charlton Village.

Help keep Charlton Village tidy
Litter picking is a practical way to show pride in our village and care for the spaces we share. Cleaner streets, verges and green areas make everyday walks more pleasant, protect wildlife and help everyone enjoy our surroundings.
Taking part alongside neighbours can also be a friendly way to get to know people while doing something useful together. Contact CVRA to ask about local litter-picking activities, suitable equipment and how to lend a hand. Small, shared efforts help keep our village looking cared for throughout the year.
